Yeah folks, sadly the crew I mentioned a LONG time ago failed to stop the closing down of EA Land (AKA The Sims Online)
HOWEVER, a good chunk of the devolpmental Team from EAL seems to have gone to work on a similar MMO Project known as Tirnua (Which according to Wikipedia, is Greek for "New World") It seems very similar to EAL, and should be very intresting.
So I guess from the ashes of one game, another shall arise.
In the meantime as we wait for the new MMO to become active, I hate to say "I told you so" but it seems that quite a few MMOs are getting the axe or being lead to the chopping block, playercampaigns might be fighting for them.
In the meantime former Sims of EA Land, I am heading off to become a Tirnuaian. So I will see you there.
